Darla McCormick

Darla was very helpful in narrowing down the areas we were looking in and listening to the criteria we had in mind. She spend a whole Saturday with my wife and I driving to and reviewing condos. We did find exactly what we wanted. This was a great experience.

Darla is the epitomy of professionalism. She is very detail orientated and is a veteran in the Real Estate industry- Extremely knowledgeable and has a very good reputation with other agents which is important when negotiating on your behalf. She had our interest first when transacting our purchase. She is very knowledgeable of the Desert Mountain master community.

Darla handles every facet of a transaction from beginning to end. She always has her client's interest at heart. Having been in the Real Estate industry for over 20 years, she is a veteran and knows many parts of Phoenix/Scottsdale as well as the other parts of Arizona including Gilbert, Surprise, Mesa, Chandler and Cave Creek/Carefree.

When I first listed my home with Darla we walked through the house and discussed what was to be sold with the house and what was not. First, I stated that none of the washers and dryers (two sets) were included. None of the refrigerators, ice makers or freezers (10 total) were to be included. Two handmade stainglass window inserts were not to be included and the collection of wine, approximately 3000 bottles and liquor were not to be included. In short, she include all but the stainless inserts. I was very busy and she told me that she completed the contract and I needed to sign it or they would walk, I told her I didn't have time to review, she insisted that I sign it... I did, huge mistake trusting her. When I stated that she included all the things that was not supposed to be included she stated, "Oh, its the anniversary of my husband's death", WOW she used the dead husband card. I asked her to send me the notes that she made during our walkthrough, it showed that all of the above items were negotiable, not to be included in the sale. When confronted again, "well, he wants them"... complete disregard for all my instructions. I told her I was going to take some of the wine. liquor and a set of the washer/dryer, the wine was my personal collection and that she needed to do a new amendment to the contract stating that. She begrudgingly did the amendment, which was rejected by the prospective purchasers. I then put all the items back. At this point I told her I could not trust her and that she was not to be on my property unless escorted. She did not tell me I needed to respond and tell the prospective purchasers that I was going to comply as nothing was written. So, the morning of the inspection I received a cancellation of the contract. I basically lost the sell of my house because Darla did not do her job, was not organized and did not take care of the details. The very good friend who recommended her to be my Realtor also had a terrible experience with her and she cannot be recommended. She promises the world to get you to sign and then delivers nothing. She sold a house for me in central Phoenix and there were problems with that sale as well. When I have time I will be filing a complaint with the Realtor Board as I have text messages and notes to back up all of these claims.

Darla was an absolute pleasure to work with! She helped us find a home and deal with all the ups and downs of the whole escrow process. We would definitely recommend her to anyone looking to buy or sell!!!
