I had interviewed three other agents and wasn't feeling confident with any of them. When I interviewed Gerene, there was an immediate comfortability with her. She presented how she would market the house, and gave me a timeline of how things would progress. Even though as we left the initial meeting with her we had not agreed to have her sell the house, within two hours she had sent multiple contacts for staging and cleaning. Between that and the confidence she exudes, it made our decision to go with her easy. It was apparent from this initial meeting through the end of the process, her goal was to make selling our house as easy as possible for us. Gerene was great at helping us overcome any hiccups we had during the process by already having solutions when presenting us with the issues. The greatest compliment to her probably came from my step-father who has been in the real estate industry for thirty years - the last ten as a real estate agent educator no longer as an agent - he couldn't stop talking about how great the listing looked and how well Gerene negotiated the offers that came in. This is a guy that was skeptical about us using her as our house was not in her normal market area, but by the end of the process was telling us over and over how we made the right choice with Gerene.
