About Karen
Karen Totino is a licensed real estate agent whose core beliefs are purpose, passion, and service. She graduated from Russell Sage College with a Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy and spent ten years helping individuals maximize their potential and function. In 2009, she opened Green Conscience Home, a retail showroom that features sustainable and non-toxic interior finishes and home products, with the belief that our
homes impact our health and well-being – not only physically, but financially, mentally, and spiritually as well. She has developed expertise in building science, high-performance homes, home remodeling, and full-scale renovations.
Karen is an active member of Capital Region Builders and Remodelers Association, where she is co-chair of the Green Building Science Group and a founding member of Profession Women in Building. She is on the board of Saratoga PLAN (Preserving Land and Nature), and she is a Certified Aging in Place Specialist.
Karen was born and raised in Saratoga County and currently resides in Ballston Spa with her husband and two daughters. Her hobbies include weight training, enjoying live music, cooking (and eating), playing tennis, and being outdoors as much as possible with her family and dog Jordi!
Not only will Karen provide extensive knowledge of the home buying and selling experience, but she will also bring trust, compassion, and a sense of joy and excitement to the process as well!

I like Karen, but every time we wanted to see a house, she was like this house is going to sell for more. She needs to work with her clients and not discourage them. I never saw the positive. She is nice but......

Karen was wonderful! She really listened to what we wanted, did some more research and sent us specific listings that she thought we might enjoy and helped us every step of the way. She made sure to always be available and answered all of our questions and always responded quickly to any inquiry. She was not pushy and even offered to help us find any services we needed when we were discussing if we wanted to adapt the house we bought. She was an amazing asset as first time home buyers and I would strongly recommend her to anyone buying a home.
