About Melissa
Melissa was born and raised in Severna Park, Maryland, studied Psychology at Furman University in South Carolina, worked on a cruise ship around the world, made wine in New Zealand and then moved to Washington DC. In 2014, she got her licenses in D.C., Maryland, and Virginia, and started with a commercial real estate brokerage. In2015, Melissa shifted gears from commercial sales and lease negotiation to residential real estate. She also started her own house flipping company, which she ran successfully and concurrently for 7 years around the Washington DC area. Melissa is an excellent consultant, coach, researcher and resource throughout the home buying and listing processes. As a mother of two, she‘s also full of all sorts of helpful free advice!

Melissa was the best! She scheduled a full day of home shopping and we found the perfect home for us the first day. She was with us every step of the way of the buying process. She may be new to real estate, but you wouldn't know it. Probably because she has great gut instinct and because she has a great contact list of knowledgable people (contractors, loan officers, etc) to help! I've got to know Melissa through a mutual friend and she became my go-to agent when I first thought of real estate purchase. She patiently guided me through the whole process and her knowledge of real estate is well beyond her years. When it came time for closing and the final numbers came in just exceeding the original estimate, Melissa calmly suggested alternatives to obtain funding to cover the closing cost and worked with the bank and seller agent to ensure the closing process goes smoothly. It's been a year and half since I moved in to my place and I'm still very happy about my purchase and Melissa's service. She is a highly recommended agent.
