Melissa Sedevie, wife, mother of 2, part of a large network of family and friends, and blessed to be an Illinois Real Estate Broker with American Realty! Melissa came to the Sycamore/DeKalb area from Wisconsin for her husband’s job with Northern Illinois University Athletics, but couldn’t be happier to call Sycamore home! Melissa believes that a home is not just a structure you live in, but a place you make a life and she wants to bring that perfect home to each and every person she works with.
Melissa has 5+ years of Property Management experience, as well as 7 years as a Sponsorship Coordinator for one of the country’s largest sports marketing companies, Learfield. Melissa brings, not only property/real estate experience, but marketing, contract knowledge, handling details, and a superior level of customer and client service!
Melissa holds an English Degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, but it has been her experiences that has taught her what is truly important in life.

Not sure where to start as everything haoppend so fast. I will start by saying that I cannot imagine having went through this selling process with anyone else. First she set me straight on what she thought we should list out house for. I was skepitcal, but she had many viewings setup within the fist 48hrs of being on the private network and it was sold for the asking price within a week. She went above and beyond every step of the way to keep things moving forward even as I was freaking along the way. She had our back every step of the process and helped us stay on target for the different milestones as we looked for other jobs and a new house. Thanks Melissa!!
