Quan was truly exceptional. On the 1st meeting, we were impressed with his level of knowledge and the amount of data that Redfin had about the market. His responsiveness was incredible. If he didn’t pick up, he always call back or text us back right away. We felt like we were working with our best friend rather than a real estate agent. Quan not only helped us sold our condo within a month but also helped us find our dream home and closed escrow in a month. He helped us figure out the best way to position our offer and what price to go in at to give us the absolute best chance that the sellers would accept our offer over the other one. On top of this, he saved us over 10k when buying new house. We love how Redfin create a seamless system that helps so much for us when touring new houses. The app works incredible well when we want to see new home. So when Quan is not available, we can easily booked home tour with other associate agents. Big thanks to Francisco Ramirez and Huy Tran- you guy did a phenomenal job too! Lastly, we have to say thank you to our "behind the scene" teams, Natalie Nguyen- our transaction coordinator- she is so organized and her level of attention to details is incredible. The amount of effort and time she put into preparing all the documents of this process is unbelievable. And when Natalie is on vacation, Amy Tamillo came in and took care everything effortlessly. I would never work with Quan or would ever recommend him to anyone. Everything went great until we switch lenders from the one he referred us to and maybe it was because we did it at the last moment. After switching lenders communication with him was far less and it was always quick and short. Even the way he spoke to our new lender felt confrontational. I always gave him the benefit of the doubt when his attitude shifted because I blamed it on switching of the lender and just looked passed it. Fast forward, the contract of our house allowed the current owners 20 days after we close escrow. 14 days into their 20 days stay, the previous owners let us know they would be able to move out 2 days before the day we contracted to get our keys. That week, I reached out to Quan letting him know this, so he started working on getting us the keys to our home. During that week, I sent him text, at first every other day and as we got closer, I text him 2-3 days in a row and mind you, it was always a friendly, have you heard anything type text. On the day the previous owners had left the property, I reached out to him again and still, he has not heard anything from the listing agent. My wife sent him a stern text on the status of the key and that was when he stopped replying to me. I asked if I could call him, and it would only take a minute. He said he was busy, so I ask if he can call me when he’s free. A few hours later, I did not hear back from him, so I called him again and got a VM. The next morning, I called him and again got his VM again, so I text him why is he ignoring me and thank him for showing me his true colors. Well, he replied back to me right way and gave me an earful on why people get busy. But he never said why he was busy which didn’t matter, the fact is he was able to quickly respond to my text to lecture me but was too busy to return my call. That is his true colors. I understand people have lives, but business is business and that is part of this line of work. He had a customer, waiting to get their house, that may not be urgent to him, but it is to us. I always thought an agent should be helping their customer, but I guess it is only during escrow and not after. He told me, since I am in contact with the previous owner, why don’t I call them to get the keys. I did, and shortly after, the listing agent sent Quan a text saying the cleaners were there right now, so we headed right over not wasting anytime to find out there were no cleaners when we got there. Keep in mind this was 2 days before our contract stated we can get our keys. Well Monday comes around, the day we are supposed to get our keys and heard nothing from our agent. Not even to confirm we got the keys to our home.
Working with Quan was a great experience. I was in a difficult situation with 3 failed escrow. I almost gave up on selling my condo when Quan was assigned as my realtor. He was able to contact the last buyer and close escrow in 30 days. He is very knowledgeable and a good communicator. I am very greatful for all he has done.
Quan is knowledgeable and communicative. He is calm and have our best interest at heart. Being a first time homebuyer can be overwhelming; however, Quan took his time to answer our questions. The house we bought is the first house we ever offered; that doesn’t happen often in this competitive market. And we might not have this smooth experience without Quan and his team.
