Sarah and Redfin worked twice as hard for less than half of the commission. We would definitely use Redfin again.
The one thing that needs to be fixed is Redfin's estimation tool -- it is demonstrably wrong. For example, Redfin's estimate said our home was worth $575K when it was listed for $595K. But, when we lowered the price to $550K, it then said it was worth $530K instantly. It looks like it's more geared toward getting the seller to sell than to provide an actual estimate. Also, none of these changes in value are now visible after the sale is complete. That part isn't good and should be changed.

Honestly, Sarah was not the best fit for us. We felt that she did not appreciate our home and could not put that aside. She always focused on negative aspects of our home, we completely understand being straightforward but we could only assume this negativity possibly influenced potential buyers. Communication was lacking, maybe she had a lot of clients at the time.

Sarah is a very organized, focused, diligent, persistent, real estate professional. We sold two properties through Sarah and will never consider using a "traditional" real estate firm again. Redfin has a solid business model and people like Sarah make the concept/model a reality. Sarah bird-dogged every aspect of the transaction and is a much better real estate negotiator than me, even though I am an experienced lawyer and CEO.

There was a lack of communication on many issues, from not pointing out the response deadline on our offer to not informing when the inspection was scheduled. When the buyer's final walk through came back with items not on original repair addendum, Sarah just forwarded it on to us saying the repairs needed to be completed before close, then went to the lake and didn't respond for a full 24 hrs, with just 3 days left before closing. She did eventually come back and advocate for us, but only at our insistence. As our agent, I just feel her first response should have been to thoroughly review the buyer's requests and go to bat for us. I did appreciate Redfin's photos and 3d tour.

I had 2 fantastic experiences with Redfin this summer, first to buy a home and my buying agent recommended Sarah as a good match for me, and she was. She provided straightforward advice when I asked for it and was always available, for me and for interested buyers and agents. I love the Redfin dashboard, especially being between 2 transactions, I was able to consult it and know exactly where I was at nearly closure on my home purchase while getting my "old" house prepared for listing. It also easily provided all of the documentation I needed for financing, insurance and utilities- even if I'm doing it at 2 am. Lack of communication, not professional! Important dates/details missed communicating almost causing to lose offer and causing us extra expenses at the end to finish things right.
