Our agent Melissa Keffer is excellent and was very thorough about explaining to everything to us throughout the entire process.

We had a unique situation with the sale and purchase of our home, and this agent was never encouraging...she was always very negative and had no faith that everything, or anything, would work out. I felt as though she only wanted a quick transaction with us so she could move on to the next client. She was very tenacious about listing the home lower than necesary, and she was ready for us to accept the first offer even though it wasn't a good one for us. Our "open house" was only scheduled for 1 hour, AND the agent hosting did not show up! We were not notified, but 40 minutes into the hour, I contacted Tracy because our open door notification had not sounded. NO ONE was there for our open house. My husband and I never felt like Tracy was there "for us"....she was not personable at all. While writing up the offer for our new home, she never spoke with us about what options were available, such as what kind of offer to make, or about asking for the seller to help with closing costs. She was aware that no appliances came with the house, but she never once encouraged us to ask for an allowance to help with that purchase. The whole process felt rushed. I'm not sure how other agents interact with clients that are both sellers AND buyers, but we never saw Tracy other than when we completed the paperwork for the offer on the new house which was near the end of February. We didn't close until April 21st! She wasn't present at the closing on our previous home, or at the closing of our new home.....and she made quite a large commission on both transactions. In fact, no agent was present for us at the closing. Needless to say, my husband and I were quite disappointed with our experience. If we ever need an agent again, I will know what to look for and what not to tolerate.
