About this home
Welcome to a little piece of country paradise! This 3 bedroom 1 1/2 bathroom log home sits on a lovely rolling 10 acres of land that includes open fields and woods. The owner's husband was a professional builder of log homes for over 40 years and built this home for his own family in 1986. You'll love the incredible amount of sunlight that streams through all the windows and skylights and the bonus sunroom, the breeze that keeps it nice and cool on the large back deck during the summer, the pellet stove in the center of the home as well as the oil/wood combo furnace that keeps the house warm and cozy all winter long. There is also a full covered front porch, an entrance area with hooks for coats, a half bath/laundry combo on the first floor and a kitchen and dining room to finish off the first floor. Upstairs, you'll find 3 bedrooms and a full bathroom with a hallway open to the first floor and all the skylights. There is also a 2 car garage with additional storage above. It just needs your touch to freshen it up a bit. Just 5 miles to the Vt Country Store in Rockingham, 40 minutes to Okemo or Bromley for skiing, 30 minutes from Harpoon Brewery and Simon Pearce in Windsor, 30 minutes to Brattleboro. Don't miss this one! Delayed showings begin Sunday, September 24, 2023 from 11am - 2pm or Monday, September 25 from 3-6pm by appointment. Offers due (highest and best) by Thursday, September 28 at midnight.

RR-5
Rural Residential 5 District
The RR-5 zoning district encompasses an area in the northern portion of the town and a small area in the southwest portion. Much of this area was originally farmland. The farms augmented income with logging, maple syrup production, and other farm related activity. Rural areas continue to host a variety of uses, some of which are a continuation of the old farm and New England tradition of mixed uses in the rural areas. The RR5 areas are not located along main highways and the limited nonresidential uses would also be accessed via secondary roadways. The Parker Hill area was one of the early settlement areas of the community and still retains some historic homesteads set among farm fields and separated by woodland. The Atcherson Hollow area’s historic homes are mostly lost to history, but more recent development has retained open fields and woods between newer residences.; The Rural Residential 5 District allows for low density development in a rural setting.
Directions: From Route 103 in Rockingham, take Parker Hill Rd. Make a Right onto Obrien Rd, then make a Right onto Hines Rd. The house will be on your Left.
