About this home
This is a privately situated, eclectic country home offering simplicity and so much charm. Tucked in the green mountains of Vermont on 4.8 acres, this place has direct access to Green River, offering almost 1000 feet of frontage. This home has a warm inviting feel from the moment you pass through the door. There is plenty of room to spread out. Original wood floor adds beautiful character throughout the home. It is one of the oldest homesteads in Halifax. A new septic has been installed in 2012, in addition to a drilled well. All windows have been replaced throughout. The home is nestled into a dead end, town-maintained road, allowing the owners peace and quiet. There are only two other second-home-owners living beyond this house. A lovely hiking trail is accessible near by. The new owners can look forward to an easy commute to skiing, lakes and nearby Massachusetts and New Hampshire.

Early 1900`s Cape with plenty of history. This home is a diamond in the rough. It seems to be in great structural shape. It is not insulated and has no heat source and no water source at this time. It does have lots of character and will be beautiful with the right touch.

RR
Rural Residential District
The purpose of the Rural Residential District is to provide for residential development and compatible light industrial & light commercial uses at moderate densities which are easily accessible to Class 2 and 3 public roads. It is anticipated that the bulk of new residential and light commercial growth will take place within this district. Special care should be taken to protect the rural-residential character of this district, to locate proposed development off of productive agricultural lands, and to minimize forest fragmentation. Non-residential development proposed in the RR District shall be carefully reviewed on a case-by-case basis utilizing the standards established under Conditional Use Approval, and elsewhere throughout this Zoning Regulation including, but not limited to General Performance Standards, Landscaping Requirements, and Article 5 Special Regulations, as applicable.
