Prince Albert just honored his mother Grace Kelly in the best way, by purchasing her childhood home. On September 23, the famous royal purchased Grace Kelly’s childhood home for $775,000. The colonial-style house originally hit the market for $1.0 million in June, but was reduced in price in July and in August.
The 4,000-square-foot home has six bedrooms and four bathrooms. It bears a plaque that states that the famous actress resided here along with her brother John Jr. (an Olympic medal winner) and her father John B. Kelly (a three-time Olympic medal winner for rowing). Sadly, the property throughout the years has fallen into disrepair, but hopefully Prince Albert can restore the charming home to its former glory.
The Grace Kelly estate resides in Philadelphia, where the average listing price starts at around $165,000. Though the quaint home is way above the average listing price, the Redfin estimate has it at $854,273. For a house that has such an amazing history, were not surprised!
