Sean Penn, who is currently directing “The Last Face” starring his girlfriend, Charlize Theron, is ready to ditch his Malibu bachelor pad. The actor and director just listed the estate for $6.55 million, which is much more than the $3.8 million he bought it for in 2009.
He may use the money he makes from the sale to buy a new place with Charlize. The two have been living together at her place for more than a year now! The stunning actress recently told Elle UK that Sean is “the love of my life,” so we wouldn’t be surprised to hear about an engagement soon.
Sean’s soon-to-be-former home sits on more than an 1.5 acres of lushly landscaped grounds, and is very near the beach. The backyard has a swimming pool and a large patio area with an outdoor fireplace. “The home was built in the ’60s, and has a mid-century modern feel, with low wood-beamed ceilings and an exposed brick fireplace,” said Alec Traub, a Redfin real estate agent in Los Angeles. “It’s cool and classy, just like he is!”
Sean’s taste for modern art is on display in the living room, which has four large blue-tinted photographs, as well as in the kitchen nook, which has two large paintings with vibrant colors. The California-style ranch home has three bedrooms and 2.5 baths. There’s also a detached guest house with two extra bedrooms, leaving plenty of room for visitors. The home is listed by Marcus Beck at Sotheby’s International Realty.
