1. Clifton Park Village

Clifton Park Village is a residential neighborhood comprised of homes and apartments, bordered by the Northwest Branch Anacostia River.

2. Downtown Silver Spring

Downtown Silver Spring is the heart of the city, where you’ll find the majority of the city’s restaurants, shops, and entertainment. There are plenty of hidden gems and old favorites like The Fillmore Silver Spring, Silver Spring Black Box Theatre, and Veterans Plaza.

3. East Silver Spring

The area of East Silver Spring encompasses a large portion of Silver Spring and includes many sub-neighborhoods. You’ll find a lot of amazing local restaurants, shopping options, and parks like Nolte Local Park. There are also many historic streets with lush trees and historical homes.

4. Montgomery Knolls

Montgomery Knolls is another residential neighborhood located just north of Clifton Park Village. While the area is residential, you’re not far from nearby shopping areas.

5. New Hampshire Estates

The New Hampshire Estates neighborhood is also a residential neighborhood just south of Clifton Park Village. You’ll mainly find homes in the area.

6. North Hills-Sligo Park

North Hills-Sligo Park is a residential area bordered by Sligo Creek to the south. The area is mostly homes, but the Sligo Creek Golf Course is located along the western side of the neighborhood.

7. Sligo Park Hills

The Sligo Park Hills neighborhood is a great blend of quaint parks, local eateries, and residential areas. You can find parks like Sligo Avenue Neighborhood Park and Houston-Sligo Creek Park.

8. Woodside Park

Just north of Downtown Silver Spring is Woodside Park, where you’ll find a few parks like Fairview Road Urban Park and Woodside Urban Park. The rest of the neighborhood is mainly housing and residential streets. Woodside is the most walkable neighborhood in Silver Spring with a Walk Score of 78. The Transit Score is good at 74 and the Bike Score is 68.
