With Salt Lake City’s proximity to the Great Salt Lake and ski-towns like Park City, UT, it’s no wonder that the city has close to 200k residents. #1: Magna, UT

The median sale price of a home in Magna is about $150K less than Salt Lake City and under 30 minutes away from downtown. #2: Kearns, UT

Kearns comes in as the second most affordable suburb in Salt Lake City. The same distance from Salt Lake City as Magna, you’ll find yourself touring the Natural History Museum of Utah in no time. Home to about 36,700 people, make sure to visit Oquirrh Park which houses the Utah Olympic Oval where you can skate or watch a hockey game.
