We all know how hard it is to get thru the work week. Some days we're the statue and some days the pigeon. What gets us thru that is our family and friends and our plans for the upcoming weekend. Now imagine having a cottage in the Catskill Mountains of NY with 20 acres of wild, untamed land complete with a running stream and mountain view. Thoughts of escaping the rat race to explore the four season area known as Ulster County will help get you thru the crazy week and this cottage will make a great home base while you're here. Will be tough to decide what to do first. Fishing in the Esopus Creek isn't even 5 minutes away. Breakfast at the famous Phoenicia Diner or Sue's isn't even 10 minutes away. Maybe you'll tube the Esopus Creek or hike a challenging nearby trail or try the zip line at nearby Hunter Mtn? Once the snow starts to fly Hunter, Belleayre, Windham and Plattekill ski resorts are all within easy reach. The present owners have done alot to this cottage over the years, most recently doing some windows and siding work, and they're looking for it's next caretaker. This whimsical cottage is presently set up as a kitchen, dining room, living room, bedroom and 1/2 bath upstairs with rustic wood on the walls and hard wood floors. The living room and dining room walk out onto a 20' long L shaped covered front porch. Spiral stair case takes you from the living room to the lower walk out basement area where there is a bone dry area about 18 x 18 that I called Family Room. Not presently considered finished space nor shown in the sq ft number.
